Today, we introduce the Exalia logo.
The Exalia logo symbolises everything we stand for as an organisation, our ambition to build the world's greatest organisation, and serves as a reminder that everything is transient.
Over the years, we believe the Exalia logo will be recognised as a symbol of unity, a symbol of our shared humanity, and most importantly - a symbol of hope for a better future.
The tribe is the core of Exalia. For our entire human history, the tribe has been our source of safety, belonging, love, and strength. The tribe provided a bigger identity where the individual was part of something bigger than themselves, creating a better future for the tribe and the next generations. Over the last 150 years, as we have moved to larger cities in search for work, we have also disbanded our tribes. We know that nothing positive can come out of disbanding our tribes, and that society and individuals are already suffering because of it. We believe if there is one lesson that is clear from our history, it is "Never disband tribes".
The Exalia logo consists of four elements underpinning the importance of tribes.
The Heart. The heart is a symbol of love, the most divine human expression, and the foundation for thriving human relationships. We see love as the most fundamental expression which we must show to one another, creating a society where every person is loved unconditionally, valued, belongs, and matters.
The Intertwined Paperclips. The intertwined paperclips represent our strength when we are together, our strength in unity, and our limitless potential when we come together. Humans became the dominant specie on Earth not by being the biggest or the strongest, but by working together. As long as we stand together, we are strong. As long as we break up and disband tribes, we are weak.
The Fire. The fire around which the tribe gathers, where stories get told, and where we shape a sense of being one. It is the place where we all come together, where we share, and where we belong. Tribal fireplaces evolved into townsquares, where larger communities could gather and share a common identity. And in a society of 8B people, the next evolution is Exalia - the digital townsquare.
The Tent. The tent represents our home. The place where we find warmth, comfort, shelter. All our homes, together, make a community. All of our communities, together, make humanity. The home is not only the location where we live. It is also our community, and our society. This is home. And home is not only the place where we live, but also the place we leave for those who come after us.
We believe that one day, the Exalia logo will be recognised as one of the greatest logos ever created, inspiring us to come together, recognize our collective strength and potential, and shape a better future. We believe many will even see it as the greatest logo ever created.
Today, the planet illustrated behind the Exalia logo represents our shared humanity, the ambition of Exalia to build the core infrastructure enabling us to work together as one human society.
But one day, we will wave it goodbye. One day, this mission will be accomplished. We will already be one single humanity that works together, that is united, and that thrives. At that point, the Exalia logo will remain a fond memory of our journey together on that path, and what will remain will be the planet behind it, becoming the new logo of Exalia.
The planet logo will serve as our new, common identity - the single human society that we are, and have been all along, and that no matter on how many planets we expand as humanity, we know one - we will always stay humanity.
But by letting go of one of the greatest logos, and simply using the planet as our new logo, our goal is to create a reminder that everything is transient. That no matter how great anything we build as humanity is, it is weaker than the forces of nature and the forces of the Universe. That we are merely stardust in the vastness of the Universe, which will continue with, or without us. A reminder to not take ourselves too seriously, and in the realization of our own insignificance, to find beauty in the fact that we even exist and get to be here. That the best we can do in this moment in time is to enjoy the journey together, to recognize we are a beautiful expression of the Universe, and work together to extend the future of humanity, because the Universe is a more beautiful place with us in it.
